• AS a regular visitor to Conway Hall I was surprised by the statement on the proposed revamp of Red Lion Square that the hall ‘backs onto the square” (Red Lion Square: Plans for revamp of ‘Oliver Cromwell burial site’, January 25).

In fact the hall’s main entrance is in the square – postal address is 25 Red Lion Square. It backs onto Theobalds Road.

It also said the square has the HQ of the South Place Ethical Society. The society is headquartered in Conway Hall itself and has for some years been Conway Hall Ethical Society.
