THERE’S nothing quite like a big derby day to kickstart your 2025 fixtures.

Camden Town WFC will be looking to continue their title charge in the Premier Division of the Greater London Women’s League this Sunday when they travel to local rivals Camden & Islington “Candi” United.

There were goals galore in the reverse fixture back in September when Town won 6-1 at the Maurice Rebak Stadium in North Finchley.

Three points would prove just as massive for Harry Sherman’s side this time around as they go into the match sitting four points behind league leaders Hammersmith but crucially with two games in hand.

Candi will be hoping that they can turn their fortunes around in the second half of the campaign. Despite putting in some spirited performances they have so far lost all nine of their league matches, leaving them at the bottom of the table – but, positively, just six points from safety.
